I'm genuinely excited that you've decided to start this journey with me. Taking the step to invest in yourself and your growth isn't easy, and I want you to know that I don't take the trust you're placing in me lightly. Komeil Mehranfar

I'm Komeil Mehranfar, a transformation life coach with a passion for helping individuals unlock their potential and create the life they truly desire.

Also a Software Engineer with 8+ years of experience. I am married to the love of my life Tara.

I am originally from Iran, and I currently live in Haarlem, Netherlands.

MY BACKGROUND

I quitted university in 2018 in Iran and started working as a Software Engineer Intern.

I built a strong foundation in technology as a Senior Frontend Developer and Team Lead during my 8+ years of experience, helping teams and individuals grow in startup environments. I also worked with enterprise clients like NN (Nationaal Nederlands) and Lyreco as a consultant.

After my immigration to the Netherlands, I did a 3 years ISTDP (Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy), 2 years as a coaching client myself with Nima Behrang, and extensive leadership development including a Landmark course and a 6-month intensive leadership program in Amsterdam. Through mentoring sessions on leadership program in Amsterdam. Through mentoring sessions on ADPList, I've discovered my passion for helping people to live the life they truly want.

Currently, I am being a certified ICF coach in Impact Coaching Academy through a 125 hours coaching program.

My own journey of transformation showed me that real, lasting change always starts from within. I’m not here to “fix” you because you’re not broken. My job is to support you in uncovering your own answers, strengths, and wisdom. I hold a safe, judgment-free space where you can be real, try new things, and grow at your own pace.

Outside of coaching, I enjoy playing piano, creating hand-crafted art with my wife Tara, and playing board games like Catan and Wingspan. I mentor others about software engineering. I also love cooking (people say I'm a good cook!).

Important Note

If you are dealing with clinical depression, anxiety, trauma, or other mental health concerns, I encourage you to work with a licensed therapist in addition to or instead of coaching. I'm happy to provide referrals if needed.

LOGISTICS

Here are the practical details about how our coaching sessions will work:

SESSION FREQUENCY

Standard Program: Weekly 60-minute sessions for optimal momentum and support.

Maintenance Program: Monthly sessions for ongoing support and accountability.

SESSION FORMAT

Sessions are conducted via secure video call using Zoom or Google Meet. All sessions are confidential and not recorded unless specifically requested and agreed upon by both parties.

BOOKING & SCHEDULING

We'll agree on a recurring weekly session time that fits both of our schedules. This helps ensure consistency and makes planning easier for both of us.

CANCELLATION POLICY

24-Hour Notice Required: Please provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellations to avoid charges.

Same-Day Cancellations: Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged in full, except in cases of emergency.

No-Shows: Missed sessions without notice will be charged in full.

BETWEEN-SESSION SUPPORT

Emergency Support: For urgent matters, please contact me directly. For mental health emergencies, please contact your local emergency services.

REFUND POLICY

Satisfaction Guarantee: If you're not satisfied after your first session, I'll refund your payment in full, no questions asked.

Package Refunds: Unused sessions in packages can be refunded or used for other periods.

Cancellation: Either party may terminate the coaching relationship at any time for any reason. Refunds will be calculated based on unused sessions.

CONFIDENTIALITY

All coaching conversations are strictly confidential. Information shared during sessions will not be disclosed to any third party without your explicit written consent, except where required by law or in cases of imminent danger.

Our relationship is professional and focused on your growth. I maintain clear boundaries to ensure the coaching relationship remains effective and ethical.

1. How will you coach me?

Bringing my personal, professional, and educational experience into our coaching relationship allows me to utilize a variety of skills:

2. Who uses a coach?

Individuals, families, small companies, large corporations, and… you! Coaching is applicable in every industry and situation imaginable. Life provides an abundance of challenges, and coaching provides an abundance of support.
Successful coaching clients typically share a few traits:

- They are willing to ask questions and challenge their own perceptions.
- They are open to revealing the truth, learning from it, and taking action.
- They have a vision (even if it's clouded) of a better life.
- They are reasonably high-functioning individuals with a desire to grow into their best selves.

3. How long should I expect to work with a Coach?

The length of time clients work with a coach varies depending on their goals and situations. I request a 90-day minimum commitment to allow time for our relationship to grow and for you to apply what you've learned effectively.

4. What's the difference between coaching and therapy?

Coaching is future-focused and action-oriented, helping you achieve goals and unlock potential. Therapy typically addresses past traumas, mental health conditions, and emotional healing. If you're dealing with clinical issues, I recommend working with a licensed therapist.

5. How do I know if coaching is right for me?

Coaching works well if you're motivated to create change, willing to be honest about challenges, and ready to take action. You should have specific goals or areas you want to improve, and be open to exploring new perspectives.

6. What if I don't know what my goals are yet?

That's perfectly fine! Many people start coaching feeling unclear about their direction. Part of our work together will involve exploring your values, identifying what matters most to you, and clarifying what you want to achieve.

7. How much homework or work between sessions is expected?

The amount will vary based on your goals and availability. I plan to suggest 1-2 action items or reflection exercises between sessions. The more you engage outside our sessions, the faster you'll likely see progress. We'll adjust the workload based on what feels manageable for you.

8. What happens if I need to miss or reschedule a session?

Life happens! I require 24 hours notice for cancellations. Sessions cancelled with less notice will be charged unless there's an emergency. I'm flexible and will work with you to reschedule when needed.

9. Do you offer coaching for specific industries or career levels?

I'm prepared to work with professionals across various industries and career stages. My coaching approach adapts to your specific context, whether you're in tech, healthcare, finance, or any other field. My background in technology and leadership gives me insight into professional challenges across different sectors.

10. What if coaching isn't working for me?

If you feel coaching isn't the right fit, we'll discuss it openly. Sometimes we need to adjust our approach, or you might need a different type of support. I can provide referrals to other coaches or professionals as needed.

11. How confidential are our coaching sessions?

Everything we discuss is completely confidential. I follow strict professional ethics and will never share your information without your explicit consent, except in rare cases where there's risk of harm to yourself or others.

12. Can I contact you between sessions if I have questions?

Yes! I encourage brief check-ins via whatsapp or telegram between sessions, especially if you have quick questions or want to share wins. I aim to respond within 24-48 hours on business days.

13. What if I want to pause my coaching package or take a break?

If you need to pause your coaching package due to travel, illness, or other life events, just let me know. We can put your sessions on hold and resume when you're ready, as long as it's within the agreed package timeframe. Open communication is key, I'm here to support your needs.

14. Can coaching really help me achieve all that?

Yes, but not without your full participation! This isn't a "CliffsNotes to Happiness" program; it's more like a gym. I act as your personal trainer, providing the environment and resources for success. However, it's up to you to use them.

We share responsibility for this journey, but you are the one making changes within yourself and your life. If you're ready to do the work, then yes, passionately, wildly, YES, we can achieve all that and more!

To continuously improve my skills, allowing me to bring cutting-edge information to you, as my client.

I will honor you by being punctual, flexible, reliable, respectful, confidential and professional in all aspects of our coaching relationship. I will firmly adhere to the code of ethics as outlined by the International Coach Federation.

I will support you, champion you, challenge you, and frequently make specific requests of you, including assignments and homework.

I will be honest and state openly that I am NOT qualified to diagnose, or treat, any medical or psychological condition. If there are medical or psychological factors at work in your life currently, or should they become known during our relationship, it is critical that you promptly seek the proper outside professional assistance.

I have read and understand the details included in the Welcome Packet and Coaching Agreement provided to me by Coach Komeil Mehranfar. I agree to a coaching relationship defined by these guidelines.

I agree to be punctual, respectful, and truthful to the very best of my ability.

I understand the nature of the coaching relationship. Furthermore, I realize that I alone am responsible for myself, and any actions I take or don't take. Therefore, I hold my coach, Komeil Mehranfar, harmless from all results I produce in my life as a byproduct of my actions or inactions.

I agree to the amount and terms of payment for services, as outlined in the Pricing & Policies section.

I agree that it is up to me to bring my best to the coaching relationship, and failure to do so will not lead to my full success. I therefore agree to take action when necessary, respect truth when revealed, and complete all assignments with the best of my integrity.
